The Other Houdini is a one-man show created and performed by Robert Feetham. This workshop production examines the life and exploits of Harry Houdini, world famous escape artist, and asks the question: What if Houdini wasn’t so great? What if he was a failure? In this project, Robert and the creative team remove Houdini from the equation and replace him with a hopelessly clumsy idiot (who just can’t help getting bound and shackled). Our hero attempts four great escapes, each developed by a different director. The creative team, who trained at L'ecole Lecoq and Gaulier, worked together to create four interwoven stories of four great escapes, all loosely based on the extraordinary exploits of Harry Houdini.
