Tease is a burlesque variety show that combines clown, sketch comedy, improv, music, and dance. Avoiding the trap of creating work that was too self-serious and preachy but delves into topics such as sexual objectification, female sexuality, rape culture, race, hook-up culture, and religion. It challenges society’s patriarchal views and sexist expectations while not hesitating to poke fun at its own “woke” packaging.

Press Quotes (if you're into that kind of thing...)

This revolutionary comedy show is a funny, smart, instructive, disturbing, brave, joyous, deeply humane and honest look at being a woman. Everyone needs to see it.
— Glenn Sumi (Now Magazine)
Tease blends burlesque and comedy to invite a bigger conversation about societal expectations for women.
— Graham Isador (CBC Arts)
All three demonstrate their prowess as they draw out the tensions within burlesque. Mullan’s remarkable vulnerability towards the end stands out as a powerful contrast to the rest of the show...capturing the distinct layers of what it’s like to live inside an objectified body every day.
— Lisa McKeown (NNNN - Now Magazine)
Tease hits sweet, salty, spicy, and even the occasional bracingly bitter note without ever feeling sour.
— S. Bear Bergman (Mooney on Theatre)
The script is perfectly on point, impeccably timed to hit every comic note...
— Mike Ross (5 out of 5 - Gig City)
Balancing sex appeal and humour, [the performers] were in total control of the room and knew how to rile everyone up, make them burst out laughing, and have them thoughtfully reflect on sex and politics.
— Matthew Stepanic (Vue Weekly)
But the most thoughtful part happened when Mullan chose to go beyond...baring her soul in one of the most powerful statements on self-respect I’ve ever heard on stage...
— Roger Levesque (4.5 out of 5 - The Edmonton Journal)
